Context

The inspiration for Choreio stemmed from a noticeable gap in the market for effective parental control and task management tools. Existing apps often lacked essential features to seamlessly integrate household chores with the use of electronic devices, and many suffered from technical issues that failed to deliver a satisfactory user experience.

Strategy

Our focus has been on creating a user-friendly and functional app tailored to the needs of both parents and children. For parents, the app facilitates the assignment of chores and control over device usage. For children, it provides an easy way to complete tasks and earn rewards. Key features include:

Task Assignment: Parents can assign tasks to their children with clear descriptions and deadlines.
Device Permissions: Permissions to unlock electronic devices are configured based on task completion.
Visual Verification: Parents can request visual proof, such as photos, to confirm task completion.
Multi-Child Management: Manage multiple children and their tasks from a single, unified interface.
Business Model: Choreio operates on a Freemium model. The basic version, which is free, allows users to manage one child and a limited number of tasks. Advanced features and the ability to manage multiple children are available through a subscription.

Differentiation: Choreio distinguishes itself from other solutions in the market by focusing on the robustness and reliability of its platform. Leveraging Apple’s device management technologies, we ensure effective and error-free parental control.

Innovative Solution: Choreio is a one-of-a-kind app that not only helps parents efficiently manage their children's chores but also integrates these tasks with controlled use of electronic devices.
Enhanced Device Control: Our implementation of device control functionality addresses many issues found in similar apps. It significantly improves children's time management and responsibility while giving parents a powerful tool to control technology use at home.
Seamless Apple Integration: We successfully integrated Apple’s parental control API, allowing parents and guardians to manage and restrict access to specific content, apps, and features on Apple devices used by minors. By focusing on user experience and leveraging advanced technology, Choreio provides a comprehensive solution for modern parents looking to balance household responsibilities and technology use in their homes.
