At The App Master, we are closing out 2022 with good news and great satisfaction for the work we have done this year. A few days ago, we won an award that makes us proud and motivates us to continue striving to be better.
This is the 2022 Gacela Award, created by Arch Group to recognise service companies that achieved annual growth of 100, 200 and 300 per cent in the region. For the third consecutive year, we won this award after tripling our growth without compromising our values.
Growing up with your essence intact
Matías Hilaire, Co-Founder of TAM, said that the team had a challenge ahead of them: to grow without losing touch with their employees and customers. This is a difficult balance to maintain when you are in the midst of expansion. However, the effort paid off and, against all odds, we succeeded.
‘We didn’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past, where we lost control a little, lost our closeness to people, which is fundamental for us, and it wasn’t the company we wanted to build,’ he said.
When asked about strategies for maintaining this balance, he highlighted regular meetings with employees, opportunities for reflection and training, coaching, and investing time in recreational and team-building activities, which helped to keep the team cohesive and motivated.
Listen, take risks and learn
He also emphasised the importance of constantly receiving feedback from employees about the company’s management. ‘It helps us see important things that are difficult for us in management to detect because we are not involved in the day-to-day running of the business as much as our team is.’
Finally, he reflected on the progress made in 2022. He emphasised the need to take risks in order to grow, to avoid beating oneself up when things do not turn out as expected, and to learn so as not to repeat the same mistakes.
Without a doubt, it was a year of challenges that make the achievements and new experiences even more rewarding.
