Context
Framingham Pharma needed to develop a mobile app complementary to its supplements and products that would allow users to obtain customized dietary recommendations. They contacted us, and based on the concepts they had in mind, we helped them define, design, and develop the platform.
Strategy
We started with a Design and Discovery phase, where we worked closely with the client’s design team to recommend best practices for mobile design and the functionalities the app would have. We focused on developing an app available for both Android and iOS, with a special emphasis on subscriptions that enable monetization. The platform collects basic user data such as weight, height, and gender, and using artificial intelligence, it provides personalized tests and calculates a suitable meal plan. It also allows users to specify specific dietary restrictions.
A key feature was the addition of a premium service, which allows users to access additional functionalities in exchange for a subscription. This strategy aims not only to enhance the user experience but also to increase the app's revenue. Nuin offers more than 5,000 food alternatives and interactive tests that include reports, advice, and personalized challenges, as well as a food guide and consultations.
The tests suggested by Nuin help to better understand the users to provide tailored advice and recommendations, set daily goals adapted to each individual, and monitor the evolution of important variables for tracking and control, facilitating the creation of effective strategies to achieve nutritional goals.
Results
- Improvement in performance and stability: The app now responds more quickly and efficiently, thanks to continuous improvements in performance and stability.
- Growth in downloads: The app has experienced significant growth, ranking among the most downloaded health apps in the country.
- Monetization: The offering of premium services has allowed Nuin not only to improve the user experience but also to increase its revenue.
